The Deccan Express (Marathi: इंद्रायणी एक्स्प्रेस) is an express train that plies daily between the cities of Pune and Mumbai in India. It is operated by Indian Railways and comes under the Central Railway zone and is one of the six point-to-point express trains which carry thousands of passengers daily between Pune and Mumbai, the other five being the Sinhagad Express, Pragati Express, Deccan Queen, Deccan Express and Intercity Express.
Deccan Express is named from Deccan Plateau where Pune city is located.
Train numbered 1007 while running from Mumbai to Pune and 1008 from Pune to Mumbai.
